Planning...
Planning is a critical part of any project. Before the first tool is put to use, a plan of action is required to put all the steps of your project in order to ensure proper work flow. Many times during the planning phase, a problem will be avoided before it gets a chance to show itself. Gen-One Construction is meticulous when it comes to the planning stage of your project. We don't like surprises during the construction phase, so we do everything within our power to avoid them.
Designing Your Project Starts With You...
It's your ideas, visions, and dreams that our design department will work with to bring your design to life.
We'll begin by talking. We want to know what is important to you. Do you have a big family? Do a lot of entertaining? Like to stay home and watch movies or sports? Do you enjoy the outdoors? Do you spend a lot of time in the kitchen? Get the idea? Creating a functional space around you and your families' lifestyle is what we're after.
If you have a floor plan, even if it's 
something you've hand drawn, that is a great starting point. Our designers will input that into our computer and start to create your space. Gen-One utilizes SoftPlan Architectural Design Software, 
a powerful design tool, to design and draft the plans for your project. You'll see 3D renderings and views to help you visualize the space.
Once the floor plan is in the computer, we begin the review 
process. The review process begins with a rough draft of the floor plan and 3D views. With your input, the plan will be refined until you are completely satisfied. We will then produce final drawings and renderings for your approval. It is these final drawings that will become the construction documents which your project will be built from.
Let The Construction Begin...
With the Construction documents complete, we send them out to our sub-contractors for bidding purposes. Over the years, we have developed varied and wide ranging relationships with countless contractors in all fields. In addition, we are constantly seeking out new ones. This gives us a large pool of tradesmen to choose from, which allows us to select the best quality at the best price.
Once contracts are awarded, the building begins. During this phase, we welcome you to the job site to view the construction of your project. Asking questions is the best way for you to become informed about what exactly is going into your project.
On occasion, during construction, you may wish to make a change. Gen-One Construction doesn't nickel & dime our clients. In most cases, minor changes can be done at no cost to you at all. In other cases, where additional material or an upgrade is involved, we strive to keep the cost at a minimum. A lot of builders will "low ball" the cost of construction to get the job, then charge you for every little "extra" you may want. A client once asked us, after windows had been installed in their new home, "How much will it cost us to have screens for all the windows?" We were floored when they told us the builder of their last home said screens were extra. That won't happen with Gen-One. You will know exactly what you are getting and how much it will cost. No surprises.

Gen-One Construction is well versed in commercial as well as the residential aspect of construction. General Contracting...
As general contractor, we are responsible for providing all of the material, labor, equipment, and services necessary for the construction of the project. In order to get these tasks done, we hire more specialized sub-contractors to perform portions or all of the construction work.
Depending on the size of the project, responsibilities may include: • Filing for building permits, • Securing the property, • Providing temporary utilities on site • Managing personnel on site • Providing site surveying and engineering • Disposing/Recycling of construction waste • Monitoring schedules and cash flows • Maintaining accurate records as construction progresses.

3D renderings of your project bring the 2D floor plan to life. you can see the project built and use it to study color schemes, space planning, and even how light and shadows will affect the space. We have found it to be an indispensable tool for halping our clients visualize cabinet
layout, indoor and outdoor spaces, furniture placement, and so much more.
Other Services...
Gen-One Construction can also help with DIY projects. Many consumers are choosing to do it themselves these days for many reasons. The feeling of satisfaction that you feel once your project is completed applies not only to those of us in the trades, but also to the weekend warrior.
Sometimes though, you may feel part of your project is a little beyond your capabilities. This is another way Gen-One can help. We also offer cabinet installation, millwork installation, remodeling of existing spaces, additions, decks, design services, construction documents for submission to local building officials.
